About the Program

The SEU SportsTech Accelerator is a specialized program designed to accelerate the growth of startups operating in the sports technology sector. The program is organized by Saudi Electronic University under the SEU Hub ecosystem. It provides an integrated acceleration journey that may include business development, specialized mentorship, investment readiness support, and access to experts, partners, and investors, with the aim of supporting startup growth, solution development, and market expansion.

Target Participants

The program is intended for sports technology startups with a product or solution that demonstrates potential for development and growth, particularly startups that:

• Operate in sports technology or a closely related field.
• Have a product, service, or sufficiently developed prototype with potential for further development.
• Have a committed founding team capable of actively participating throughout the accelerator.
• Seek to strengthen their business model, accelerate growth, enter the market, or expand within it.
• Can benefit from the mentorship, partnerships, and investment-related opportunities offered through the program.

The organizer reserves the right to determine the suitability of applicants in accordance with the program’s approved eligibility and evaluation criteria.

Participation Requirements

Accepted startups are expected to:

• Appoint a primary representative to communicate with the program team.
• Attend the accelerator’s required sessions, workshops, meetings, and core activities.
• Provide the information and data reasonably required to monitor progress during the program.
• Work collaboratively with mentors, experts, and the program team on the required deliverables.
• Comply with the program’s deadlines and participation requirements.
• Attend key in-person activities, including Launch Day and Demo Day, where required by the program.

The organizer reserves the right to remove a startup from the program if it fails to meet the applicable participation or attendance requirements.

Program Format

The accelerator is delivered as an intensive hybrid program combining virtual and in-person participation. Activities may include:

• Specialized sessions and workshops.
• Individual and group mentorship sessions.
• Office hours with experts and mentors.
• Business model and growth strategy development.
• Go-to-market and expansion strategy development.
• Investment readiness and investor engagement support.
• Review and development of startup pitches and presentations.
• Engagement with partners, experts, and investors.
• A final Demo Day.

The organizer may modify the program schedule, content, or delivery format when reasonably necessary to achieve the program’s objectives.

Application and Admission

Applications must be submitted through the official platform during the announced registration period. Applications are subject to screening, review, and evaluation, which may include interviews with applicant startups before final selections are announced. Submission of an application does not guarantee admission, and the organizer reserves the right to accept or reject applications in accordance with the program’s selection criteria.

Evaluation and Selection

Applicants may be evaluated against criteria including:

• Clarity and strength of the problem and proposed solution.
• Stage of development of the product or service.
• Market size and growth potential.
• Business model and scalability.
• Progress, traction, and achievements to date.
• Strength and experience of the founding team.
• Relevance to the sports technology sector.
• Potential to benefit from the acceleration program.

Decisions made by the evaluation and selection committee are final.

Commitment and Participation

Accepted startups are expected to participate actively throughout the accelerator. Failure to attend required activities, submit required deliverables, or maintain reasonable communication with the program team may result in removal from the program at the organizer’s discretion.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to a startup, its products, services, solutions, and outputs remain with their respective owners. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they own, or have the necessary rights to use, all materials, information, and solutions presented or used during the program.

Information and Data

Startups must provide accurate and truthful information during the application process and throughout their participation. The organizer may use general, non-confidential information about participating startups and program outcomes for program operations, reporting, impact measurement, documentation, communications, and promotional purposes. Startups should not disclose confidential or commercially sensitive information that they do not wish to share unless an appropriate arrangement for handling such information has been agreed in advance.

Partners and Investment Opportunities

The program may provide opportunities for startups to engage with partners, experts, investors, and public- and private-sector organizations. Participation does not guarantee investment, funding, a commercial contract, a partnership, or a pilot opportunity. Any opportunity arising from the program is subject to separate decisions and agreements between the relevant parties.

Photography and Content Use

Participants acknowledge that accelerator activities and events may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise documented. Images, video footage, interviews, and other general content relating to participation may be used for documentation, reporting, communications, media, and promotional purposes relating to the program and Saudi Electronic University’s programs and initiatives.

Responsibility

Startups and participants are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and for their own products, services, practices, and intellectual property rights. The organizer is not responsible for obligations, agreements, or disputes arising between participating startups and third parties as a result of introductions, relationships, or opportunities facilitated through the program.

Withdrawal or Removal

A startup wishing to withdraw from the program must formally notify the accelerator team. The organizer also reserves the right to remove a startup for failure to comply with program requirements, submission of inaccurate information, breach of these Terms & Conditions, or conduct that may adversely affect the program, its participants, or its partners.

Changes to the Program and Terms

The organizer reserves the right to modify program dates, activities, delivery arrangements, or these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Relevant updates will be communicated through the program’s official channels.

Submitting an application to the SEU SportsTech Accelerator constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
